Impedance Audiometer

An impedance audiometer is a diagnostic device used to assess middle ear function by measuring impedance. It consists of a probe tip, microphone, manometer, and loudspeaker. Key tests include tympanometry, which evaluates eardrum movement through pressure changes, producing a tympanogram graph, and acoustic reflex testing, which checks the reflexive contraction of middle ear muscles in response to loud sounds.
